“Street Seats is a program of the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) that allows businesses or non-profit organizations to convert on-street parking into other public uses, such as café seating or a mini-park, also called a parklet. “

Designed with Dan Petrescu and Nick Byers & built in collaboration with Slattery Construction.

In Mosier we plan to build around an existing scrappy oak tree in the entry court and sandwich the building between two oak tree groves. This way the new home will be a response to and growth from the site. #thelorax @don_tankersley_co #organicarchit

Had fun building a maquette study model this week to test out some ideas about entry sequence, roof framing and views out towards the Columbia River and the Coyote Syncline precipice from a site in Mosier Oregon.
